Are you suitable candidate for eyelid surgery in Arzni Aestetica?
If you have one or mix of the following conditions may mean that you are a suitable candidate for this procedure:
surplus skin obscuring the natural fold of the upper eyelids
loose skin hanging down from the upper eyelids, possibly worsens vision
a puffy appearance to the upper eyelids, making the eyes look tired
surplus skin and fine wrinkles of the lower eyelids
bags and dark circles under the eyes, frequently with a depression along the bony border of the lower eyelids

Aesthetic eyelid surgery can usually correct all abovementioned problems.
How should I prepare for procedure?
If you are a smoker, you should quit smoking at least 4 weeks before procedure. Certain anti-inflammatory drugs and Aspirin can become reason of increased bleeding, so you should avoid taking these medicines for a period of time before surgery. Aesthetic eyelid surgery in Yerevan, Armenia is usually performed on an outpatient basis. If this is your case, be sure to arrange for someone to drive you home following surgery and to stay with you at least the first night post surgery. Your can find additional information in preoperative instructions for blepharoplasty.
How is the procedure fulfilled?
During blepharoplasty, incisions are made within the natural folds of the eyelids or on the inside of the eyelids. The surgeon removes some of the herniated fat and surplus skin and then closes incision with very fine sutures.
Is there much scarring with a blepharoplasty?
As with any surgical manipulation, some scarring is to be expected. However, scarring with blepharoplasty is minimal and almost invisible following several months of healing.
At what age can blepharoplasty be performed?
Loose skin and fat around the eyes ordinarily appears with age, but some young people are genetically prone to it, so there really is no set age when procedure is fulfilled.
Will a blepharoplasty get rid of my eye wrinkles?
No. A blepharoplasty is not destined to remove the wrinkles at the outer corners of your eyes (crow's feet) or to correct sagging brows. There are other manipulations available that can be used to remove wrinkles near the eyes, including laser resurfacing, intense pulsed light treatments or injections of Botox / Dysport.
What should I expect postoperatively?
After the procedure, your eyes will be swollen, tender and sore, and you will likely have some bruising. These should all resolve in a few days. Discomfort can usually be controlled with pain killers prescribed by your surgeon. You may experience blurry vision for the first few days after this manipulation, and your eyes may be very dry or watery. For additional information, read our article about eye lid surgery recovery.
When will my stitches be taken out?
Stitches are ordinarily removed three to five days following procedure. The removal process may sting a little, but is generally not too uncomfortable.
When will I be able to see the results?
You should be able to see a certain difference once the swelling goes down, but this won't be for several days.
What are the risks of blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty, like all surgical manipulations, has risks. Minor complications connected with blepharoplasty include, temporary swelling, tiny white pimples around your eyes and temporary double or blurry vision . Your eyes may also heal at different rates, which can mean that they will be temporarily asymmetrical. More serious risks contain permanent asymmetry or difficulty closing your eyes and keeping them closed. For additional information, please read our article about eyelid surgery risks.
How long will the results last?
The results of aesthetic eyelid surgery are long-lasting, but they may be affected by your heredity and lifestyle factors. Some patients find that they want to make additional improvements at a later time.
