When will I see results after liposuction ?

Most patients will see 90% of their final liposuction results during one to three months following manipulation. For the first few weeks following procedure there is postoperative swelling. The velocity at which this swelling subsides depends on surgeon's surgical technique and methods of postoperative care. When the surgeon's operative technique uses adits (round holes) that are left open, instead of linear incisions closed with stitches, patients can expect to see 90% of the final results within a month. When the surgeon closes the dissection with stitches, swelling generally subsides during 8 to 12 weeks.
