The health and appearance of the patient in the postoperative period

You will be able to get out of bed for a short time the day after surgery. In a few days, you will be able to move more easily. Since straining, bending and lifting might cause intensified swelling or even bleeding, such kind of activities must be avoided. It will be necessary to sleep only on back for a few days in order to avoid any pressure.

All surgical drains will be removed within a few days after surgery. A support bra must be worn for a few weeks, until swelling and discoloration degrade. Generally, stitches are removed in our office in Yerevan, Armenia in stages over a period of approximately three weeks, beginning about one week after surgery.

Minimal sensation in the nipple and areola areas is usually temporary. It may take weeks, months or even more than a year before sensation returns to its former level. The breast may also require some time to get natural outline.
